We get it, walls are often magnets to grimy hands. Whether you’ve got little ones, pets, or a bike you need to get from one end of the house to the other, sometimes you need to wipe your walls.
The first thing to say is that our paint is durable and wipeable! Great news. Here are our top tips on looking after your newly painted walls:
- For the first seven days after painting, your walls will be ‘curing’. This means that although they are dry, the paint is still quite soft and at risk of easy damage. Ideally keep extra vigilant around them for the first week or so
- When you do come to wipe them, the key is gentleness and knowing what the stain is.
- For most stains, we’d recommend a small amount of washing up liquid (2 - 3 drops) in about a litre of warm water
- Take a soft sponge, soak and ring it out with the water, and gently wipe the area on the wall you want to clean
- With a dry, clean cloth, first dab dry and then make small circles to dry off your wall
If your stain is not grease or something oily, you could switch the washing up liquid for a small amount of white vinegar in water instead. Again use a soft sponge and dry off your wall to avoid water marks.
Enjoy your spotless walls!
